چکیده

Abstract Oilseed rape ( Brassica napus L.) is sensitive to heat stress during the reproductive stage, but it not clear whether male and female organs differ in their sensitivity stress. In this study, full diallel crossing experiments were conducted among four genotypes of B. under control, moderate high conditions for five days immediately before two after crossing. General combining ability (GCA), specific (SCA) reciprocal effects analyzed evaluate genetic basis tolerance organs. High temperature (Tf) (Tm) reduced number fertile pods seeds set per floret, significant Tf × Tm interaction indicated that more than There no overall GCA, SCA or across all combinations Tm. However, a effect was found, suggesting differed as increased. The relative G1 increased increased, G2 decreased summary, has demonstrated are transient at early flowering increases.

Growth and reproductive development of male piglets are more vulnerable to midgestation maternal stress than that of female piglets.

In many mammalian species, prenatal stress masculinizes female and feminizes male offspring impairing their reproductive capacity. Regrouping gestating sows is a common, stressful production practice, but its impact on the developing pigs of the sow is not fully known. This study examined the effects of regrouping gestating sows and the administration of exogenous glucocorticoids on the growth ...

P-13: Male Reproductive Organs Are at Riskfrom Environmental Hazards

Background: Male reproductive disorders that are of interest from an environmental point of view include sexual dysfunction, infertility, cryptorchidism, hypospadias and testicular cancer. Several reports suggest declining sperm counts and increase of these reproductive disorders in some areas during some time periods past 50 years. Materials and Methods: Except for testicular cancer this evide...

Long-term Morphine-treated Rats are more Sensitive to Antinociceptive Effect of Diclofenac than the Morphine-naive rats

This study investigates the effectiveness of the antinociceptive effects of diclofenac, an NSAID, on the nociceptive behavior of morphine-treated rats on formalin test.Rats were treated with morphine-containing drinking water for twenty one days, which induced morphine dependence. The antinociceptive effects of 8, 16, and 32 mg/kg doses of diclofenac were then evaluated and compared with distil...

Platelets of female mice are intrinsically more sensitive to agonists than are platelets of males.

OBJECTIVE It has been reported that women fare worse after ischemic coronary events, but the mechanisms remain unclear. Because platelets play a central role in the formation of occlusive thrombi at sites of ruptured atherosclerotic plaques, we studied male/female paired mouse littermates for sex differences in platelet function. METHODS AND RESULTS We compared platelet reactivity in male/fem...
